KNYSNA NEWS - Charges against 42 community members that were arrested on Thursday 28 March, were allegedly dropped at the Knysna Magistrate's Court today.
These community members were part of a march against the release of murder accused, Velile Waxa.
Waxa was granted bail after a High Court appeal.
Waxa and his co-accused, Mawande Makhala and Vela Patrick Dumile are charged with the murder of Victor Molosi who was gunned outside his home in July last year.
After the court proceedings last week, chaos broke out; shots were fired, people threw stones at the police, some were brutally assaulted, one broke a leg and 42 community members were arrested.
Control Prosecutor Johan Engelbrecht says the case against these community members has not been enrolled pending an investigation.
