UPDATE 28 March 2019 @ 18:42 - Protestors still stationed outside Knysna police station awaiting the release of their community members. Traffic affected between Queen and Montagu Street. It is alleged that two community members have been admitted at the Knysna Provincial Hospital.
KNYSNA NEWS - Residents are now outside the police station awaiting the release of the 42 community members that were arrested earlier.
It is alleged that one of the them had their leg broken during the time of her arrest, this is not confirmed yet.
Sergeant Chris Spies confirmed that at least one person reported injuries and they have requested ambulance services to provide necessary medical assistance.
Spies says although part of the N2 is closed the police are still monitoring the situation.
