Update
KNYSNA NEWS - Former Knysna Taxi Forum secretary Mandla Tyololo, one of four men arrested after Knysna councillor Victor Molosi's murder in 2018, is a free man after being in custody for two years.
He was finally acquitted of all the charges against him by the Knysna Regional Court on Tuesday this week.
Molosi was gunned down near his home in Concordia, Knysna on 23 July 2018.
Three men were charged with his murder – Former Ward 4 councillor Velile Waxa, former municipal official worker Mawande Makhala and Cape Town resident Vela Patrick Dumile – and were convicted on 11 December last year.
Tyololo was charged with conspiracy to commit murder, and has now been acquitted, according to his lawyer Jerome Bans of Dercksens Inc Attorneys. “Tyololo was denied bail on numerous occasions and remained in custody for the full duration of his trial which took over two years,” Bans said.
