KNYSNA NEWS - Legendary Springbok fullback Percy Montgomery made a special visit to Knysna United Rugby Club last week, where he shared his wealth of experience and knowledge with the club's young players at the Loerie Park Sports Stadium.
Montgomery is known for his outstanding career with the Springboks including winning the 2007 Rugby World Cup and earning over 100 test caps.
Tremendous honour
His presence was not only a tremendous honour for the club, but also an invaluable opportunity for the young athletes to learn from one of the game's greats.
The evening was filled with exciting moments as Montgomery engaged with the players, sharing stories from his illustrious career and imparting the wisdom he has gained over the years.

He touched on various aspects of the game highlighting the importance of hard work, discipline, and the mental toughness required to succeed at the highest level.
In his interactions with the youth players, Montgomery emphasised the value of developing a strong foundation in the fundamentals of rugby while also stressing the significance of teamwork and communication.
