KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna Detectives are investigating a reckless and negligent driving docket after a vehicle overturned on the N2 highway near the turn-off to Buffalo Bay on Saturday evening, 15 August.

The accident occurred at about 18:15, according to Southern Cape police spokesperson Warrant Officer Chris Spies.

Spies said emergency personnel were summoned to the scene by a motorist. Upon arrival, police found two bakkies involved in the incident, with four occupants sustaining injuries.

The injured occupants were transported to a nearby medical facility for treatment.

The cause of the accident has not yet been established and forms part of the ongoing police investigation.

The incident was the third accident reported in the Knysna area over the weekend, following two separate collisions involving trucks on Friday and Saturday.

The Friday collision, on the N2 (Lagoon Road) at White Bridge, claimed the lives of two people, while a second truck-related collision occurred on the N2 near Lagoon Road on Saturday night.
