KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna police have opened a reckless and negligent driving docket following a collision between a truck and a Volkswagen Polo on the N2 (Lagoon Road) near the White Bridge yesterday evening, 15 August.

The collision occurred at about 21:30, according to Southern Cape police spokesperson Warrant Officer Chris Spies.

Spies said Knysna police members were summoned to the scene, where they found the truck and Volkswagen Polo had collided.

No serious injuries were reported and no arrests were made.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and the cause of the crash.

According to Spies, once the investigation has been concluded, the docket will be forwarded to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) for a decision on whether to prosecute.

The collision occurred less than 24 hours after a separate fatal crash at the same White Bridge area, in which two people died following a head-on collision between a truck and a Ford Everest on Friday morning.
