KNYSNA KARATE NEWS - Junior members of the SA JKA Karate Knysna-Plett dojos recently wrapped up their drive as part of the pink-belt initiative in National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Dojos and karateka around the country undertake this challenge each year in October to not only help raise awareness of breast cancer, but also educate younger children on what cancer is and its causes.
As part of the initiative, Sister Dina Arends of the Knysna-Sedgefield Hospice this year conducted a productive Q&A session at the two dojos to help improve the children's knowledge of cancer.
