KNYSNA NEWS – The Knysna Motor Show this year again proved that it is worth its place on the local calendar, with more cars than ever and a large number of people flocking to Thesen Islands.
More than 120 cars were on display in the parking areas at Thesen Islands Harbour Town, to the right of the traffic circle when arriving on Thesen Islands.
The weather played its part on the day, with barely a cloud in the bright blue skies. This helped bring in the crowds on Sunday 30 April, with thousands of people piling through the gates to marvel at the stunning array of cars that were put on show.
The centrepiece display was titled "Back to the Future" and featured three incredible cars – a 1910 De Dion Bouton Type CD, a 1982 DeLorean DMC 12, and the thrilling 2021 Lamborghini Huracan Evo.

Cars of yesteryear lined the parking bays on Thesen Islands.
The DeLorean was kitted out in the same way as the one that features in the 1985 blockbuster movie Back to the Future.
Onlookers were fascinated by this display, which was only one of 15 displays across a variety of categories.
This included anything for every kind of car fan, down to small displays of boats and motorbikes, in order to drive home the "motor" aspect of the Knysna Motor Show. Chairperson of the Garden Route Motor Club, Brian Bruce, was thrilled with the outcome of the show.
"We saw growth in revenue this year, which is of course not only good for us, but also for the charities who benefit from the show's ticket sales," he said.
"There was great support and feedback from the public this year and we're extremely grateful for this."
Thousands of people visited the Knysna Motor Show throughout the course of the day.
