KNYSNA NEWS - Knysna residents are among the 17 200 people arrested nationally since the start of the lockdown up to 31 March for breaking the lockdown regulations.
This was confirmed by Knysna police spokesperson Captain Malcom Pojie over the weekend.
Pojie said he cannot not divulge how many people were arrested. “As the local spokesperson we are not allowed to comment on the arrests regarding the coronavirus. Communication is centralised to the national office. You can contact national police spokesperson Brigadier Vishnu Naidoo, he is the one responsible for communication regarding the coronavirus related arrests,” Pojie said.
