PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - One hundred learners at Wittedrift Primary School are better equipped to manage their health and well-being after Engen's 2026 We Care Campaign activation last week.
This activation forms part of a national rollout reaching about 800 learners across multiple provinces.
Hosted on the school grounds in Wittedrift, the initiative provided girls with reusable sanitary pad packs from South African brand Palesa Pads, designed for long-term support and sustainable use for up to five years.
The boys received dignity health packs containing toiletries, socks and other essentials to promote personal development.
The activation was led in partner-ship with Engen dealer Kgopolo Andrika Petlele of the Engen Plett One Stop, who engaged directly with learners and staff.
"Providing young boys and girls with the tools and knowledge to manage their health with confidence affirms their worth and potential," Petlele said.
Engen CSI manager Olwethu Mdabula emphasised the campaign's role in addressing period poverty, keeping learners in school and supporting inclusive development.
