The hotel is is due to open in early December. Nols Meyer, owner and developer of the hotel, said that he was grateful for the gift of the trees, which will be planted during the landscaping of the hotel gardens.
The trees were kindly donated by local resident Ron Samuels, who grows a wide variety of indigenous plants at his home.
The Brenton Ratepayers Association also donated a large indigenous Wild Plum tree (Harpephyllum caffrum) for the beautification of a traffic circle in Brenton-on-Sea.
Arbor Week is aimed at encouraging South Africans to plant indigenous trees as a practical and symbolic gesture of sustainable environmental management.
