PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Four women were rescued from Robberg Nature Reserve, known to be a tricky walk, this weekend.
Marc Rodgers, NSRI Plettenberg Bay station commander said: “At 18:13, Saturday, August 12, NSRI Plettenberg Bay duty crew were activated following a request for assistance from four Spanish girls who were on a holiday in Plettenberg Bay.”
Rodgers said the women suspected they may have wandered off the main path at the Robberg Nature Reserve and they were possibly lost on the trail.
“Our NSRI crew arrived at Robberg Nature Reserve and, following a brief search, the four females were found along the nature trail and were escorted back to the car park without incident. No further assistance was required,” said Rodgers.
NSRI had a busy weekend with incidents in Plettenberg Bay, Port Edward on the Natal South Coast, Hout Bay in the Cape and Mossel Bay.
