"The support from the community was overwhelming. Without their support our events would not have been such a success," added Louw.
The fun-filled programme kicked off with a high tea presented at Epilepsy on Wednesday, June 19. The tea was supported by about 100 Knysna residents. The attendees were fortunate to have received beautiful gifts from donors during the lucky draw which formed part of the tea.
A number of different performances were presented to Knysna folks during Epilepsy's variety concert at the Knysna Primary School hall on Friday, June 21. Guests were asked to each light a candle during the concert in solidarity with thousands of epilepsy sufferers throughout the world.
"You don't have to go to Las Vegas to see a good show! It's right here in Knysna. Knysna really has got talent," said Ralph Sparg of Knysna FM Radio station.
The awareness programme concluded with various activities hosted on the last day of the initiative, Saturday, June 22.
These events included a talent show, baby competition, car boot sale, a 10km run/walk, 5km fun run and much more.
