PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - The Plettenberg Bay computer engineer with alleged links to a horrific international child pornography network failed to appear in the Knysna Regional Court on Wednesday, November 4.
His lawyer Carl Jeppe informed the court that his client was not present as he had been confused over the date and was under the impression that his next appearance was on November 5.
The case was postponed for plea and sentencing negations.
The 37-year-old, who cannot be named until he has pleaded, was arrested at his home in the costal holiday town on January 13 this year after a lengthy investigation by South African and Belgian police.
Police allegedly found sections of files containing hundreds of images and videos of violent assaults as well as internet addresses of more than 300 other alleged paedophiles.
