PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Sunny weather, delicious food, plenty of drink options and excellent entertainment led to Plettenberg Bay's third successful Truck & Vine Festival on Sunday 17 February.
The event, which is a showcase of street food, wine and music, was hosted at the Kay and Monty Vineyards on the outskirts of the town.
Organised by the Mediaboxx, the event offered visitors a choice between delectable eats from six food trucks as well as craft beer stands and a gin bar. Among the food trucks were two local ones: Greg's Cookin and Plett On The Go. Kay and Monty also served delicious options and offered visitors a taste of their wines and bubbly.
Craft beer on tap
To ensure that festinos could quench their thirst in the heat, Ben Koppen offered a selection of craft beer while Da Rocca Pink Gin and Tonic offered a refreshing G&T on tap.
These were enjoyed while several musicians provided soothing sounds to accompany the food and drinks.
Among those who performed were locals Devon van Driel and The Bearded Wonders. Brighitte Dé from Mossel Bay also entertained the crowds.

Patty Butterworth from the Mediaboxx said she was very happy with the turnout. "The weather was wonderful and this year we had a lot of visitors, including tourists, joining us at the festival," Butterworth said.
She added that early indications were that the event attracted about 600 people.
The festival was started to celebrate the start of the harvest season in the Plettenberg Bay winelands.
There are currently 18 wine farms in the area, from Harkerville to the Crags, and harvesting takes place between the months of February and April.
