KNYSNA SPORT NEWS - On Saturday 9 November, eight Oakhill Prep water polo teams travelled to Glenwood House in George to participate in an inter-school water polo festival.
These teams comprised a total of 86 players from ages 10 to 13, and the festival gave development players an opportunity to measure their progress and hard work they have put in throughout the year.
It also exposed them to the true nature of the game which is composed of physicality, competitiveness and, above all, fun.
Ooakhill's players, staff and parents had an enjoyable time while memories were made, some players scored their first goals ever, and most of all, there were many teachable moments and great teamwork for the Oakhill players who sometimes had to play in mixed teams.
A highlight was that both the U13A girls and boys managed to beat their Glenwood counterparts, which was of particular significance as it was the first time this year, after three matches, that the boys pulled off a victory against Oakhill's biggest rival in the region.
Oakhill is extremely proud of all of the players and thank Glenwood for being great hosts!
Coel Trollip looks to make a pass for Oakhill.
Natasha Urbanik attempts a pass to a team-mate.
