DURBAN NEWS - For most people, running nearly 90km in a single day is unimaginable.
Yet this year's Comrades Marathon once again saw runners from Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Sedgefield rise to the challenge and test themselves against one of the toughest endurance events in the world.
Months of preparation, countless kilometres on the road and unwavering determination paid off as local athletes joined thousands of runners in completing the iconic ultramarathon.
Their performances were a source of pride for their families, running clubs and communities as they conquered the demanding route and earned their coveted Comrades medals.
Knysna Marathon Club's Tohlinhlanhla Shabalala was the fastest of the local runners, finishing 76th overall in an impressive 06:13:08.
