KNYSNA SPORT NEWS - The annual Knysna Waterfront 10km run this past weekend was a good one for last year's runner-up, Selwyn Matthews, who one-upped his own feat by winning this year.
The race took place on Saturday 14 November, and runners had to hop out of bed bright and early in order to prepare for the race start at 07:00.
This year's race did not incorporate the usual half-marathon distance of 21.1km, and instead only went ahead with the just-as-popular 10km race and the 5km fun run.

Matthews approached the finish line just after the half-hour mark. Donavan Jantjies was the runner-up, and Renier Jansen in third with a time of 34:38, who was also the first men's junior runner over the line.
The first lady over the finish line was Cecilia Nel, finishing in exactly 40:00, winning the race ahead of Nikki Walter (44:23), and Anri van der Mescht (44:43).
The 5km, being a fun run, did not record official times and places.
