KNYSNA NEWS - Eight days after a second suspect was arrested in connection with the armed cash-in-transit (CIT) robbery that took place in Knysna two months ago, the two accused appeared in court on Thursday 26 August.
The suspects, Mzoxolo Bushula (28) and Masonwabe Yizani (32), made their court appearance in the Knysna Magistrate's Court. According to Hawks spokesperson Zinzi Hani, one of the suspects was cross-examined last week and it will be the second's turn this week.
"Accused number one (Bushula) testified in his bail application and was cross-examined by the prosecutor," she said.

"The cross-examination of Bushula was completed and the matter was postponed to Thursday 2 September for accused number two (Yizani) to either testify or submit an affidavit in his application."
Bushula was the first to be arrested. He was taken into custody on 28 June, only two days after the robbery on Saturday 26 June, during which a Fidelity Security guard was shot and killed.
Yizani on the other hand was arrested for a different matter on Monday 16 August and was later tied to the robbery.
