KNYSNA NEWS - Hard work from learners, supportive parents and passionate teachers are the key to a successful school career.
These were the words of Heatherhill School principal Lola Le Grange who last week had the opportunity to honour the school’s star learners at the school’s annual prize-giving ceremony.
“We would like to thank the parents, grandparents and guardians for coming out in support of your children. Your efforts in the background that help your child succeed cannot be ignored. It is the daily packed lunches, the taxiing to school and back, the gentle reminders to study and the care that help each student perform to the best of their ability,” Le Grange said at the ceremony held at the school in Knysna on 8 November.
She added that she also feels honoured to work with a group of staff members who display the dedication they do. “They have shown tireless devotion and passion, not just for teaching but towards Heatherhill and the students who are fortunate enough to attend here.”
She added that the learners are also the reason she jumps out of bed early every morning. “Without their hard work and drive to achieve the best, this prestigious event would not have been possible.”
