PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Plettenberg Bay police are asking the help of the community to track down a suspect linked to a recent farm attack on the outskirts of the town.
The incident happened on Sunday 22 October at about 03:45 on a farm on the Avontuur Road, Wittedrift.
Police spokesperson Captain Marlene Pieterse said two young suspects, armed with machetes, attacked the 45-year-old farmer causing several injuries to his face and hands, and fled the scene with a laptop, a cellphone and a Casio watch with a red strap.
Pieterse said the police believe that one of the suspects dropped a knitted beanie at the scene and asked that anyone who knows who the beanie belongs to, to contact the police.
In the meantime, an identikit has also been compiled. It reveals that one suspect is a young black male with a medium complexion and short hair.

He is believed to be between the age of 25 and 30 and about 1.5m tall.
He also has a medium build.
Various Plettenberg Bay Crime Prevention Association (PBCPA) members responded to the incident and conducted a thorough search of the area, which revealed that the suspects may have fled towards Kwanokuthula.
