PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - Two months after a farm robbery and attack on the outskirts of Plettenberg Bay police are still looking for the suspects.
The incident happened on Sunday 22 October at about 03:45 on a farm on the Avontuur Road, Wittedrift.
Police spokesperson Captain Marlene Pieterse said the 45-year-old farmer woke up to the sound of breaking glass and found two young men in his home.
They gained access to the house through a smashed glass door.
She added that the homeowner managed to chase the suspects away, but they returned shortly thereafter armed with machetes.
The suspects then attacked the farmer which resulted in several injuries to his face and hands.
Following the attack, the suspects fled the scene with a laptop, a cellphone and a Casio watch with a red strap.
Pieterse said this week that no one had been arrested in connection with the incident.
Residents are still being asked to be on the lookout for a suspect. An identikit has been compiled and revealed that one of the suspects was a young black male with a medium complexion and short hair.
He is believed to be between the age of 25 and 30 and about 1.5m tall. He also has a medium build.
One of the suspects also dropped a knitted beanie on the scene and residents have been asked to come forward if they know who it belonged to.
This beanie was found on the scene following a farm attack in Wittedrift two months ago. Police have asked the community to contact the investigating officer should they know who it belongs to.
Should you have any information that can assist police with their investigation Warrant Officer John Nomdoe can be contacted on 044 501 1955.
All information will be treated as strictly confidential.
