Update
KNYSNA - Police in Knysna opened a reckless and negligent driving docket following an accident on the N2 outside Sedgefield at around 07.20 am on Friday 21 June, a report from police said.
Officers had been dispatched to the scene, where it was found two vehicles, a bakkie and a Mercedes-Benz, had been involved in a collision.
It said one of the occupants of the bakkie, a man, sustained serious injuries, and six others travelling with him were also injured. They were taken to hospital by ambulance.
The cause of the accident was being investigated.
Earlier, it was reported that a "massive" accident had taken place in the vicinity of the Engen garage on the N2 in Sedgefield early on Friday 21 June, and that 11 people had been taken to hospital.
