KNYSNA NEWS - Despite reports on social media stating missing Lauren van Rooyen has been found, Southern Cape police spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies has stated contact has not yet been made.
Van Rooyen, 37 and known affectionately amongst the community as 'Curly', was last seen in the Knysna CBD on 2 September.
She was reported missing by a family member on 17 September, and "was dressed in a mustard denim dress and white sandals at the time of her disappearance," according to Spies.
"At this point in time, we cannot say whether she has been found, as we do not have confirmation that contact has been made with the family. We will only be able to confirm that Curly has been found once contact is made."
