KNYSNA NEWS - Oakhill College held its annual interhouse athletics and swimming events last month, with each occasion being delightfully colourful as learners came out in support of their teams.
On Friday 24 January, a green Oakhill Sports Campus was transformed into a collage of reds, yellows and blues as the three houses – Jubilee, Millwood and Bendigo – took to the fields to battle it out for the prestigious Winners Cup and Spirit Trophy.
The Grade 12 pupils created a fantastic atmosphere leading their houses with great energy and enthusiasm, which translated directly onto the tracks with many exciting races.
It was Jubilee's drive, however, that earned them a win with 339 points, while Bendigo followed hot on their heels at 322 points. Millwood may have ended third with 261 points, but their enthusiasm was phenomenal on the day earning them the coveted Spirit Trophy.
