KNYSNA NEWS - The Living Cornerstone in Sedgefield recently hosted its fifth Annual Golf Day at the Knysna Golf Club with 82 participants taking to the course for a day of golf, fun and fundraising.
Participants were treated to a welcome drink before registering and collecting their welcome packs and raffle sheets. Excited chatter among the players set the tone for the day as they entered the raffle for an opportunity to win some of the sought-after prizes on offer.
After completing their rounds, the participants were treated to a home-cooked meal of roasted lamb, chicken and salads. The prize-giving began with an auction, followed by the announcement of the raffle ticket winners and the presentation of lucky draw prizes.
The first 25 teams received prizes, while individual awards were presented for nearest to the pin and longest drive. Prizes were also awarded to the best-dressed male and female participants.
As the prize-giving drew to a close, participants could be heard discussing ways to improve their games, while victories and achievements were celebrated.
"It is with a heart of gratitude that I want to thank all the participants on the day, which made our event so special, making sure that we will cherish the memories for a long time," said Marietjie Digue, facility manager.
"I want to thank all the sponsors [102] for the amazing prizes. We appreciate the companies who made the effort to set up wet holes and contribute to a fun day. Lastly, I want to sincerely thank the Ambassadors of The Living Cornerstone for all their hard work behind the scenes."
