BUSINESS NEWS - Forest Edge Schools appoints new leadership as high school expands Waterfront Drive Campus Forest Edge has announced an exciting new chapter in its growth, welcoming Mr Graham Bennetts as Head of High School and Acting Head of School, alongside plans to open a dedicated waterfront campus for Grade 8 and 9 learners.
This strategic leadership move comes as the school thoughtfully expands its senior phase - rolling out Grade 9 in 2027, Grade 10 in 2028, and building towards its very first Independent Examinations Board (IEB) matriculation class in 2030.
To support this trajectory, Forest Edge has also recruited key, highly experienced IEB-qualified educators to join the college team, bringing deep curriculum expertise and academic rigour to the expanding high school.
Mr Bennetts brings a wealth of educational leadership to the Forest Edge family, having previously served as Executive Head of Reddam House Helderfontein, Campus Head of IIE’s Varsity College, and Deputy Headmaster of Maritzburg College.

His background spans whole-school governance, academic excellence, strategic planning, sport, and student safeguarding. “Graham understands that we are building a school community, rather than simply managing an established institution,” shared the Forest Edge Board.
“He will work closely with our Senior Leadership Team, including Head of Intermediate Phase Ms Carrene Sands and Head of Foundation Phase Ms Bianca Bouffe, to nurture our primary foundation while actively establishing our high school offering.”
A highlight of this next chapter is the planned opening of the new waterfront campus in January. The space has been thoughtfully planned to provide Grade 8 and 9 students with an inspiring, nature- rich environment tailored to teenage growth, hands-on learning, and holistic development.
"As we take this exciting step forward, focus is to work hand-in-hand with local families. Forest Edge will always be a place dedicated to inspiring curious minds, nurturing character, and preparing every child for a bright future." says Mr Bennetts.
