KNYSNA NEWS - After the donation of a new fire truck in October last year, Knysna Municipality this month expanded its fleet further with the acquisition of a R3.6-million fire engine, and mayor Mark Willemse said he was delighted to receive the keys of the fire department's latest addition from Francois Steyn of Marcé specialists in firefighting equipment and vehicles.
This state-of-the-art Mercedes Benz 1428 is fully equipped with ladders, hand tools, breathing apparatus, rescue tools and hoses to just name a few, with has a tank capacity of 3 000 litres and 300 litres foam.
