ELECTION NEWS - Several high profile voters made their way to voting stations in Knysna and Plettenberg Bay on 8 May to make their mark in the 2019 national and provincial elections.
Among those to cast their votes were Western Cape Premier Helen Zille, MEC for transport and public works Donald Grant and Knysna magistrate Zukiswa Hans.
Zille voted at the Chris Nissen Primary School in White Location. After leaving the voting station Zille told Knysna-Plett Herald that she was encouraged by the by-election results and believed that the DA stood a good chance of performing well.
Grant said it was a privilege to have voted in the elections and hoped that voters took into account government's track record over the past 10 years when they made their mark. "Voting in the elections is choosing to make a difference in the future of South Africa."
