KNYSNA ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - With six "A-list" South African artists and the fifth annual Knysna Blues Festival just around the corner, local promoters Better Live have secured what they claim is the biggest line-up in Knysna's live-events history including Jo Black, Matthew Mole, The Parlotones, Arno Carstens, Jesse Clegg, Desmond and the Tutus and Gerald Clark.
"We've focused on bringing the biggest names in the country to Knysna, and to prepare the venues to be comfortable and enjoyable for both the patrons and the musicians themselves.
It is great to have an all-local team working on events – from service providers and staff to security and concert equipment – that prove Knysna is capable of staging events without going out-of-town," says Dominic Morel, advertising agency owner and partner in Better Live – a Knysna-based event organiser and live event promoter.
The all-star line-up kicks off with Jo Black on Thursday 19 December (19:00-22:00) at Blend Restaurant. The popular musician is an Afrikaans music institution who, in 2017, performed his Be That Guy roadshow 300 times and visited over 100 schools with his message of positive personal change. He last performed in Knysna in 2018 to a packed house and is expected to sell out as quickly this year.
Matthew Mole.
He is followed by the perennially superb performer Matthew Mole in the wake of his new single Let Me from his upcoming album Ghost, on Friday 20 December (19:00-22:00) at Blend. His last album Run debuted at number 1 on the iTunes Chart on release day, and his last performance in Knysna sold out in record time – so get ready for a powerful return from this modest yet unstoppable muso.
The week's events ends off with a bang when Knysna's much loved Blues Festival hits the stage on Saturday 21 December.
