Knysna
The Knysna Literary Festival opened in an African style of song and dance with Ukwanda Puppet and Design Collectors performing "Qhawe" to primary schools in Knysna. Qhawe, which means "hero", is a puppet show that mirrors everyday struggles and stories of people from the rural areas - from the frustrations of a barren wife as the chief takes a second wife, jealousy, ancestors, witchcraft and ultimately humility.
