KNYSNA RUGBY NEWS - Titans Women's Rugby Academy (TWRA) had a special visit from Stormers skills coach Labeeb Levy during a training session on Thursday 18 February.
The training took place at the outdoor gym near Cathy's Park on George Rex Drive, where TWRA members have been training whenever lockdown regulations allowed.
Without any form of structured rugby having been played since the start of the lockdown in March last year, it has been a tough 11 months for the women at TWRA.
However, they have refused to be held back by the pandemic and have continued to work hard on their fitness. To further encourage and motivate his players, TWRA head coach Aschin Klein decided to reach out to Levy.

Levy has been working for WP Rugby in various roles for more than 12 years, and has worked with the Stormers for the past two years. Levy and his Stormers colleagues were in Wilderness on a squad retreat, and he offered up a few hours to make the trip to Knysna.

Levy took over the training session from Klein after 17:00 last Thursday to carry out a few exercises and drills.
"It was very special to see such a mix of players coming together as a committed unit," Levy said afterwards. "You can see they all have such a passion for rugby, and it was special for me to be there as I have two daughters interested in rugby, and it was as if I was coaching my daughters."
Klein was naturally grateful for Levy's time. "It means a lot to us for him to come out and spend time, working on drills with our players.
"Experiences such as this really mean a lot to the players," he said. The players were also visited by Springbok and Stormers fullback Warrick Gelant, who is currently recovering from a ligament injury.
