GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - Following the Stadio U18 Craven and Academy week, two players and one coach from the SWD were selected for the SA Schools teams and management.
The players selected are scrumhalf Elgernon Meyer (Outeniqua High School), who was selected for the SA Schools team, and outside centre Kurt Coetzee (Oakdale High School), who was selected for the SA Schools A team.
Adriaan Jansen, also from Oakdale High School, will be the conditioning coach for the SA Schools A team.
The SWD Craven Week team won only one of their three matches. They beat the Valke 41-34 in their first game of the tournament, which was followed by a 19-28 loss to the Sharks, and narrowly losing 40-45 against the Lions in their final match.

Reinhardt Viljoen was chosen as man of the match for the Valke game, and Kai Prat for the Lions match.
The SWD Academy team beat the Leopards 22-19, lost 34-36 against the Griffons, and put on a phenomenal performance against the Border Bulldogs, beating them 106-10.

The SA Schools and SA Schools A teams will face off on Thursday 4 July at 15:00.
