Swallows win the bridge day

KNYSNA NEWS - The Knysna Duplicate Bridge Club hosted a red point bridge team event on Saturday at the Knysna Angling Club.

All participants had to be members of the SA Bridge Association to be eligible for the special red points.

Players enjoyed the all-day play and were provided with sandwiches in the morning and a snack lunch to boost their energies during this exciting and demanding competition.

The Southern Cape Bridge Union sponsored the event with prize money of R1 000.

The winners were the Riley team (our regular swallows from the UK): Roy Riley and Stephanie Donner, and Peter and Rita Jordan.

The runners-up were Priscilla Grantham-Thompson and Di Faragher-Thomas, and Annie Allen and Koos Bezuidenhout.
