PLETTENBERG BAY NEWS - This weekend will showcase Plettenberg Bay's mountain biking trails with the first Sky Villa Trans Plett MTB Classic.
It is a two-day stage race and will be hosted by a well-known boutique hotel in Plettenberg Bay.
The first stage, due to start and finish at the Cairnbrogie Dairy Farm, will see riders traverse new sections of the MTO Forestry trails grazing the Harkerville "red route".
The route will include beautiful forest trails and spectacular coastal views. The first stage will cover a distance of 70km with 1 350m of elevation.
The second stage will showcase the newly established Sky Villa Boutique Hotel single track trails, which include an exhilarating downhill flow section with breathtaking views of Keurboomstrand and surrounds.
Riders will have two options: a shorter 26km route, with 700m elevation, and a longer 46km route with a total of 1 230m elevation.
