KNYSNA NEWS - Two national South African hockey players, men's star Sam Mvimbi and women's star Onthatile Zulu, are set to offer a one-day hockey clinic alongside Mart Sports Academy.
The clinic will be held at the Knysna High School sports fields next week.
The clinic will cater for young, local hockey players from nine up to 19 years old and will offer them a variety of skills development opportunities. This includes fundamental technical hockey skills such as dribbling, shooting and tackling, before moving onto some slightly more advanced skills.
These will include skills such as overheads, drag flicking, '3D skills', back-stick shooting, and more.
Mart Sports Academy founder and head coach Lumko Mart is buzzing ahead of the clinic. "I really look forward to having Sam with us again for another clinic, following on from the success of the first one," he said. "I'm also very excited to welcome Onthatile, who we are working with at a clinic for the first time.
"They both have so much to offer in terms of hockey knowledge and skill, and I can't wait to see how our young stars can develop under their watchful eyes."
It will be held on Monday 26 June at the Knysna High School sports fields, between 08:00 and 15:00, and is split up into three different sessions.
Anyone seeking to book their spot or find out more information about the clinic can contact Lumko Mart on 066 335 2574 or via email on lmart@martsportsacademy.co.za.
