KNYSNA HOCKEY NEWS - Oakhill School welcomed hundreds of U16 hockey players from schools across the Western and Eastern Cape, for yet another successful instalment of its U16 Co-Ed Hockey Festival, held this year from 8 to 11 August.
This year's festival was only the second edition of the festival, with the inaugural edition last year being a huge success.

The festival was once again held at the Oakhill Sports Campus at the end of Welbedacht Lane, where the school has an astroturf hockey field, and featured a total of 16 teams, with eight boys' and eight girls' teams taking part.
The tournament comprised matches made up of two 20-minute halves, and got under way on Thursday 8 August with a match between Grey and Stellenberg high schools. The entire festival was held in a friendly manner, so no scores were taken down, and no official results published, the reason being that Oakhill is trying to promote camaraderie above all else, with skills improving and strategies learnt amid fierce but healthy competition all the way throughout the tournament.
The sports campus was a hive of activity as 40 matches were played throughout the weekend, culminating in the final match at 11:45 between Grey High and Oakhill's girls' teams.
