SEDGEFIELD GOLF NEWS – A local pharmacy has once again joined hands with the Sedge Links Mashie Golf Course to raise funds for Busy Bugz Early Childhood Development Centre.
Last year, Sedgefield Pharmacy held a series of three golf days on the first Sundays of September, October, and November to raise funds for both Busy Bugz and another Sedgefield charity, The Living Cornerstone homes for people living with Alzheimer's disease.
Last weekend however, saw the inaugural Sedgefield Pharmacy Busy Bugz Charity Golf Day on Sunday 25 April, which will be held at Sedge Links every year to consistently raise much-needed funds for Busy Bugz.
Things got under way with a shotgun start at 09:00, with each of the holes seeing a four-ball teeing off from their markers. With the fog rolling onto the course from Swartvlei Lake, golfers were facing the challenge of not only manoeuvring the course, but also the chilly weather.

However, it was a fun day and by midday everyone had completed 18 holes and it was time for prize-giving. Before the winners were announced, nearest to the pins were awarded to Clint Jones, Michael Velloza and Roy Harrington.
When it came time for the top prizes, in third place were Neels and Johan Groesbeek, while second place was taken by Charldon and Hein van der Merwe, and Peter Schnetler and Roy Harrington won the day.
