KNYSNA FOOTBALL NEWS - Almost a full year after the last official game, soccer rose to its feet again in Knysna, with a friendly tournament played this past weekend at the Hornlee Sport Ground.
The last round of Knysna Local Football Association (KLFA) Domestic League fixtures was played prior to the breakout of the Covid-19 pandemic in the region, with the last game played on 15 March.
Ever since, it's been a battle to get the ball rolling again with various factors hindering the sport’s much-anticipated return.
With no spectators allowed at the sport ground, the friendly tournament kicked off with three matches - Red Eagles vs United Brothers, Knysna Swallows vs Oupad FC, and United Brothers taking to the field a second time, against Voota FC.
