CRICKET NEWS - Colin Ingram continues to excel in the United Kingdom, scoring his second hundred of the Natwest T20 Blast in the latest round-up of South Africans on the English County Cricket circuit.
Having pummelled a 46-ball century against Sussex at Arundel, Ingram followed up with 114 from 55 balls to help Glamorgan complete a spectacular run chase against Essex at Chelmsford on Sunday.
His efforts have strengthened his position at the top of the NatWest T20 Blast Professional Cricketers' Association Most Valuable Player Rankings.
Ingram has already finished top of this season's MVP for the Royal London One Day Cup and he is second in the overall rankings which cover all formats. Ingram has 341 points and is 37 points behind Surrey's Kumar Sangakkara, the overall leader.
Ingram's Warriors teammate from South Africa, Colin Ackermann, has turned in three consecutive match wining performances for Leicestershire and is ranked seventh in the T20 MVP standings.

Wednesday 12 July
Kyle Abbott claimed the Man-of-the-Match award in Hampshire's 19 run victory over Sussex at Hove. The former Proteas paceman claimed 3-22 in his four overs, with teammate Gareth Berg taking 2-44. Rilee Rossouw's 46 off 31 balls helped set things up initially for Hampshire, while David Wiese smashed three sixes in his 28 off 16 balls in a losing cause.
Thursday 13 July
Two South African schooled England internationals featured in the Middlesex versus Surrey encounter at Lord's. A 26-ball 41 blitz from Dawid Malan set Middlesex up for a one wicket win, with Tom Curran taking 2-34 in four overs on the losing side.
South Africa-born Netherlands star, Ryan ten Doeschate top scored with 56 as Essex beat Somerset by 22 runs. Simon Harmer's 3-39 helped derail the Somerset innings, with Johann Myburgh (7) and Roelof van der Merwe (14*) making minor contributions in the chase. Van der Merwe also took 1-43 with the ball.
Friday 14 July
For the second game in a row, Colin Ackermann guided Leicesteshire to victory as his 47 not out off 36 balls helped the Foxes to a five wicket win over Worcestershire. Cameron Delport also played a crucial role in the victory, taking 1-25 in four overs before scoring 23 off 16 balls atop the innings.
A handy Rille Rossouw 30 as well as a 1-35 from Kyle Abbott and a 1-40 from Gareth Berg helped Hampshire overcome Middlesex by 29 runs, with Dawid Malan scoring just three for the losing team.
Ryan McLaren played a starring role in Lancashire's thrilling Duckworth Lewis enforced tied match against Yorkshire in Manchester. The former Proteas allrounder smashed an unbeaten 34 off 18 deliveries before taking 2-14 in two overs. Dane Vilas contributed seven to the Lancs cause.
Two wickets for 24 runs in a miserly four over spell from Tabraiz Shamsi helped Northamptonshire to a last ball five wicket win over Warwickshire, with South African-born Grant Elliott scoring 21 not out on the losing side.
Saturday 15 July
Glamorgan reached 171-5 in the 18th over when rain ended their encounter with Somerset. Colin Ingram had earlier scored 39 off 21 balls, while compatriot Jacques Rudolph was unbeaten on 65 off 37 balls when the heavens opened up.
Sunday 16 July
Ingram's sensational run of form continued as he slammed his second century of the competition, making a career-best 114 off 55 balls. His efforts, together with those of another South African, Chris Cooke (49 off 28), helped Glamorgan chase down 220 against Essex off the final ball with five wickets in hand.
Kearsney College old boy, Wayne Madsen, hit a 35 ball 52 in vain as Derbyshire suffered a five wicket loss to Lancashire. Ryan McLaren (24*) and Dane Vilas (20) made contributions to Lancashire victory, with Imran Tahir (2-32) and Hardus Viljoen (1-26) featuring for Derbyshire.
Roelof van der Merwe took 1-25 in four overs and scored a quickfire 17 to help Somerset to 21 run victory over Dawid Malan's (7) Middlesex.
