GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The SWD Colts suffered a massive 262-run defeat against Eastern Province in last weekend’s CSA Colts competition three-day match.
EP, who batted first, posted 306/7, whereafter SWD was dismissed for only 52.
SWD fought back, dismissing EP for 148 in their second innings. SWD only managed to score 140 (all out) in their second innings, chasing a mammoth 402 for victory.
In the limited-over fixture on Sunday, EP posted 243/7, after their innings was reduced to 43 overs after rain interrupted proceedings. SWD’s innings did not get under way as the match was abandoned due to rain.
