KNYSNA NEWS - Deserving learners at Thembelitsha Primary School recently received school uniforms from the South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) as part of its efforts to support vulnerable children.
The assistance aims to ease the financial burden on families and help learners attend school appropriately dressed and with greater dignity and confidence.
Parents welcomed the initiative, expressing their appreciation to Sassa for the support.
Before distribution, deserving beneficiaries were identified, their information verified and the necessary documentation completed.
The uniforms were then procured in accordance with applicable policies and regulations before being handed over to the learners.
Through this initiative, Sassa seeks to support vulnerable communities and improve educational opportunities for children in need. The project also demonstrated the importance of sound administration and efficient service delivery in ensuring that assistance reaches its intended beneficiaries.
