KNYSNA NEWS - There is no stopping Jordan van Rooyen. Just a week after smashing an unbeaten 369 runs and claiming a hat-trick, the Knysna Primary School U13A cricket sensation was back among the runs, scoring 156 runs off just 157 balls to help his team outclass KILT U13 by 204 runs yesterday, Saturday 24 October.
Batting first in their allotted 50 overs, Knysna Primary posted 268 all out in 46.1 overs, with Bismarck du Plessis contributing 21 runs and Chris December adding 16.
KILT struggled in reply, managing only 64 runs in 18.5 overs. Noah Levack top-scored with 15 runs, while Miguel September scored 10.
Van Rooyen also contributed with the ball, taking two wickets for 18 runs. Liam Steenkamp claimed two wickets for just two runs, while Michael Webster took one wicket.
Yesterday's performance adds to a sensational purple patch for the young gun, who continues to impress with both bat and ball.
