KNYSNA POLITICAL NEWS - Knysna residents are hopeful that the by-election results will bring a positive change to the situation in town.
Ward 9 resident, Christopher Durrant who voted in Leisure Island said he is hopeful that his vote will make the lives of Knysna residents better.
“Knysna at the moment is not extremely well run, by voting at least we will have change as positive South Africans,” he said.
He said voting at the station was efficient and it took him only two minutes to queue and cast his vote.
Ward 10 resident, Fred de Villiers said voting is important for everyone so that they can have a great town again.
“We need to keep this town great and vote for our preferred candidates who will bring change in town,” he said.
He called on people to come and vote as there are no long queues.
“Voting went well and is peaceful. It takes a few minutes to go inside and cast your vote,” he said.
Voting at Knysna Town Hall was slow this morning and people started coming in after 09:00 in groups.
At Leisure Island’s Cearn Memorial Hall, people came in groups while a queue of not more than five people was at the entrance of the hall.
