KNYSNA POLITICAL NEWS & VIDEO - The furthest voting station out of town, at roughly 9/10km from the Knysna Municipality, Brackenhill New Born Ministries, has been rather quiet this morning.
The voting station forms part of the three that are in place for voters in Ward 9, who are to choose between the DA's Sharo Sabbagh, independent candidate Mark Willemse, and the EFF's Japhta Meyer.
The station has just under 250 registered voters, and has seen about 20 voters come in to cast their ballot since the station opened at 07:00 this morning.
IEC officers at the voting station are expecting the largest influx of voters to come in just after 17:00, when residents finish up their shifts at work.
The road up to the voting station is slightly rocky, and voters registered at the station are advised to take on the road with caution, regardless of the vehicle they are driving.
The turn-off to the voting station is adjacent to the turn-off to Brackenhill Primary School, and it is about a five-minute drive from the N2 to the station.
