Man kills daughter (3) with golf club

NATIONAL NEWS - A Melmoth man has been arrested and charged with the murder of his three-year-old daughter after fatally wounding her with a golf club during an alleged domestic dispute yesterday.

The man’s wife stated in an affidavit to police that she and her husband were arguing at their home when he swung at her with the club, hitting the child in the head.

She died later in St Mary’s Hospital in Melmoth.

‘We can confirm that Melmoth police are investigating a case of murder which happened in the Thubalethu township,’ said Major Thulani Zwane, KZN Police spokesman.
