Breaking News Update

GEORGE NEWS - The two men accused of murdering Cape Town underworld figure, Mark Lifman at the Garden Route Mall in George on 3 November last year, are back in the George Magistrate’s Court today where their bail application will be heard today and tomorrow.

The previous court appearance of Johannes 'Jakes' Jacobs (53) and Gert 'Johnny' Bezuidenhout (37) on 12 December was attended by Lifman's notorious friends, Jerome 'Donkie' Booysen and André Naudé, as well as Booysen's son Joel.

Just after the case was postponed on 12 December, the Booysens and Naude headed to the mall where they laid down flowers at the spot where Lifman was gunned down. George Herald filmed them doing so, and many readers reacted with outrage and disgust.
