NATIONAL NEWS - The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) will take action against striking employees who are found to have intimidated those who choose to report for duty.
Staff at the public broadcaster stopped work on Thursday over a wage dispute with the SABC.
Members of the Communication Workers Union and the Broadcast, Electronic Media and Allied Workers Union (Bemawu) are demanding a 10% salary increase, while the public broadcaster is offering 4.5%, citing its poor financial state.
The strike affected current affairs broadcasts on some SABC radio stations.
SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago says they won't tolerate the intimidation of non-striking employees.
