GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - President Ramaphosa's visit has been well received by the many enthused members of the public who cheered from the pavements and surrounding areas at the George Civic Centre.
After a visit to the disaster site, Ramaphosa entered the City Hall where he will address the family of the deceased workers.
It is a media frenzy of note, with journalists elbowing for a picture of the president.
Ramaphosa is accompanied by a delegation of the Western Cape Government, including Premier Alan Winde and Minister Anton Bredell.
