Magistrate Moses Maswanganyi ruled on Tuesday that it was in the interest of justice to release Zinde‚ 23‚ on bail. He set it at R10 000.
He ordered Zinde‚ accused of taking the life of his mother‚ to appear at the court on November 22.
Zinde also has to report to the De Deur police station‚ south of Johannesburg‚ every day until the case is finalised. He will stay in Walkerville with his father Lebohang Manoto‚ who is a doctor.
Zinde was arrested on June 11 after he allegedly killed his 50-year-old mother at their upmarket estate home at Hartbeespoort Dam.
Delivering judgment on the bail application at the Brits Magistrate’s Court‚ North West‚ Maswanganyi said the state has not proven that Zinde was a flight risk.
